Westfield needlecrafters prepare for special day
Many people are discovering the satisfaction of working with a needle and thread, and a Westfield activity will connect local sewing enthusiasts with others who also enjoy the hobby.
There will be two sessions on offer during the Fashion Accessory Day that is being co-hosted by Fashion First Workshops and Westfield Recreation. Both will be in-person activities, and the assembled groups will be crafting fashion accessories to keep or give to someone on their holiday list.
All the materials needed to prepare the accessories will be included in the regeneration fee. The morning workshop will see the participants create a headband, beanie, and fascinator, while the afternoon will be focused on crafting a backpack, bag, scrunchies, and other items. Those who are interested can choose either session or both, and sewing machines will be supplied.
Tickets for this activity are on sale now with spaces for up to 10 people, and it is recommended for people who are at least seven years old. Offering each participant in this sort of workshop a printed step-by-step guide of the pieces they craft will make it a snap for them to work on future projects, and a printing services company can lend a hand with this.
Westfield Recreation has made plans to host these functions on November 5. The registrants are asked to enter the building through its front entrance, which is located at 425 East Broad Street.
