Lincoln’s Pinnacle Bank Arena is hosting Journey for their Final Frontier Tour this summer.
After initially being slated for April 9 earlier this year, the concert was pushed back to early July.
The tour has been bringing out all the stops, such as using pyro effects for their big numbers, like “Separate Ways.”
This year, Journey guitarist Neal Schon turned 72 and keyboardist Jonathan Cain turned 76. Even still, the band members behind the hit song “Can’t Stop Believing” are pulling out all the stops for their farewell tour, even after Cain has recently recovered from a knee replacement surgery earlier this year.
However, one band member who won’t be returning is original lead singer Steve Perry, who departed from Journey three decades ago. Despite Perry’s absence, Journey continues to have pop culture relevance with tracks appearing in TV shows like Glee, The Sopranos and Stranger Things.
Arnel Pineda has since taken up the role of lead singer, a position he has helmed with the band since 2007. As such, Pineda has belted out songs like “Faithfully,” “Open Arms” and the band’s other hits hundreds of times.
Concerts like this may choose to use poster printing to create promotional materials, Signs for seating areas and merch tables.
Journey The Final Frontier Tour is happening on July 6 at 7:30 pm at the Pinnacle Bank Arena at 400 Pinnacle Arena Dr in Lincoln.
