The Pinnacle Bank Arena in Lincoln is hosting Styx in concert, featuring Cheap Trick.
The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees are both known for their hit songs that dominated the 1970s and set the stage for the punk and hair metal bands that would follow in the 1980s, though both bands would continue to be prolific in that decade as well.
Known for their hits Come Sail Away, The Angry Young Man and Too Much Time on My Hands, Styx has remained active throughout the decades, with last year’s “Circling From Above” representing their 18th studio album. Earlier this year, Styx performed at amphitheatres around the country with the band Chicago.
Enjoying an equal amount of fan loyalty as they continued releasing album after album through the Years, Cheap Trick is known for hits like Surrender, Can’t Stop Falling Into Love, I Want You To Want Me, The Flame and Don’t Be Cruel. Underrated gems from their catalog that they’re known to play at concerts include Hello There, I Can’t Take It, and a few tracks from their newer albums, including 2025’s “All Washed Up.”
