Youngsville farm hosts festival of sunflowers

Sunflower Days is currently underway at Hill Ridge Farms in Youngsville.

This is the farm’s annual Sunflower Festival. Each paid admission to the festival will receive a free sunflower. This is a pick your own activity as each person needs to bring a pair of heavy duty scissors or clippers in order to receive the free flower. There will be a covered wagon ride to and from the patch of sunflowers.

Additional sunflowers are $1.00 per stem; stems can have several blooms. People can also cut zinnias at a price of two stems for $1.00. Admission to the festival also includes fun at the play park. It features a waterslide, splashpad, barnyard animals, and panning for gemstones.

Such events often turn to printing services to create Flyers and other materials with more information about such activities, special costs, and other details.

Food trucks will add to the enjoyment of the festival. Among those scheduled to be at the festival include How bout’ Burger, Taylor Made Sweets, which specializes in Bundt cakes, layer cakes, and specialty pies, Kona Pizza, and Don Taco.

Sunflower Days will run through mid-August. Hours are 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday. Cost for admission is $14 for those between the age of two and 64, $13 for seniors and those in the military. Parking is free.
