The town of Wake Forest will be celebrating Independence Day over two days next month. Residents of Youngsville and other nearby towns will be interested to attend these festivities.
The Fireworks Spectacular will take place on the first day on the campus of Heritage High Scholl at Husky Stadium. Attendees will be able to bring blankets and lawn chairs or can sit on the home side of the bleachers in the stadium. Spectators will be able to bring coolers and picnic baskets. Parking will be available in areas designated on the campus of the high school. The gates will open at 7:30 p.m. with the show of fireworks to begin at about 9:30 p.m. on Saturday July 3.
The Wake Forest Optimist Club will also be hosting the Children’s Parade. Youngsters in the area will be able to bring their bicycles and take part in a walking parade. The lineup will begin near the Wake Forest Historical Museum at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday July 4 and get underway at 1:30 p.m. Such events are often promoted throughout a region with poster printing.
Concurrent with and after the parade will be Art in the Park sponsored by the Wake Forest Woman’s Club. Taking place at the Community House, this event will feature free arts and crafts activities, including cupcake decorating, the creation of various patriotic-themed crafts, and much more.
