Special concert to be performed in Youngsville area

The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra will be hosting the Secreast Artists Series later this month in Wait Chapel at Wake Forest University. Residents of nearby Youngsville may be interested in attending this concert.

Isata Kanneh-Mason, a British pianist, soloist and chamber musician known internationally, will be featured at the concert. She has an interesting and eclectic repertoire that includes music from Mozart, Haydn, Brahms, Gershwin, and more. Furthermore, Kanneh-Mason is a recording artist for Decca Classics, recording three solo albums and a duo album with her brother Sheku Kanneh-Mason. Isata Kanneh-Mason has performed in many of the finest halls in Europe and is the recipient of the coveted Leonard Bernstein Award.

The conductor of the concert will be Vasily Petrenko. The concert will include works by Rimsky-Korsakov, Prokofiev, and Debussy.

The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra is prominent in the field of music in the United Kingdom and around the world. It performs close to 200 concerts every year, and has an audience around the world of over a half-million people.

The prices for tickets are $24 per adult, $19 per senior, $10 for students, and $5 for a child. Faculty, staff, retirees, and students at Wake Forest University and its medical school may attend free of charge.
