Two important events will be coming to the Northern Wake Senior Center (NWSC) in Wake Forest this month and next, both of which might interest seniors and others in the community in nearby Youngsville.
Organizers of such events can turn to a flyer printing company to help spread word throughout the community and surrounding towns with more details on their activities.
A Senior Health and Fitness Day will take place later this month and will feature demonstrations and several kinds of fitness classes. There will also be advocates from the community who specialize in a range of topics from lifelong learning, proper footwear, and mental health.
The theme of this year’s event is “Aging Unbound” and it encourages opportunities to be offered in the community that promote the importance of fulfillment and independence while aging. This event will be held from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm on Wednesday, May 31.
The NWSC will also be hosting an official grand reopening next month. There will be a ribbon-cutting ceremony and dedication, tours of the facility, and comments by Vivian Jones, mayor of Wake Forest, along with other officials from the town. Light refreshments and class demonstrations will also be part of the event.
The new NWSC spans 18,000 square feet and includes a new entrance, a new roof, the addition of multi-purpose and exercise rooms, and over 50 parking spaces. The reopening ceremony will take place beginning at 10:00 am on Wednesday, June 14.
