An area of over 200 acres of land running from Wake County into Franklin County has been purchased by McKinley Homes, a developer from Georgia, to build 722 attached townhouses and detached homes.
Residents of nearby Youngsville looking for new housing may be interested in such a development.
Known as the Kinsley Subdivision, this development will add several bodies of water and small parks to the three ponds that already exist on the property. The townhouses will have a driveway and garage in the rear of the buildings, with a clubhouse and pool planned on the side near Franklin County. No plans have been disclosed by McKinley on the single-family homes. Local Print shops can help to spread the word about such new developments with Flyers and other printed materials.
In June, McKinley Homes purchased 121 acres off North Main Street in Wake Forest and then the 88 acres next to this parcel off Youngsville Boulevard in Franklin County. The total amount of the deal was $32.7m and it was accomplished within 60 days.
Henry Massie from the acquisition team of McKinley Homes said that the market in the Raleigh-Durham area offers growth opportunities for the company’s division of homebuilding, as it has a growing and strong employment base for young professionals, particularly as Apple is bringing 3,000 new jobs into the area for an engineering hub.
