Festival for outdoors to be held in Youngsville area

Wake Forest Downtown, Inc. (WFD) in partnership with the town of Wake Forest, the Wake Forest Historical Museum, the Wake Forest Guild of Artists, and the Wake Forest Farmers Market, will be hosting Forest Fest in April.

Forest Fest is a family-friendly event that celebrates nature and the outdoors and may be of interest to residents of nearby Youngsville. It is a fun-filled event with educational opportunities, activities for children, a tree seedling giveaway, the Wake Forest Guild of Artists Spring Art Market, food, vendors, and much more.

Applications from other non-profit organizations and vendors are being accepted for participation in Forest Fest. Those who are interested in participation need to provide education, activities, products, or services that relate to the outdoors. All the food trucks and vendors have already been secured for this event.

Non-profit organizations can participate for free but there is a fee of $75 for vendors. The Forest Fest committee which is comprised of members from WFD will review the applications for relevance, validity, and available space. Applications and any payments are due by Sunday February 9.

Promotion of such unique events and the need for participants is often made known throughout the community with poster printing.

Forest Fest will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday April 26 along Owen Avenue in downtown Wake Forest.
