The singular commercial airline flying out of Wilmington Airport, Avelo Airlines, has recently announced that it will be adding two new cities for booking beginning this fall.
The two new added destinations are Concord, North Carolina and Lakeland, Florida. The Concord flight will terminate at the Concord-Padgett Reginal Airport approximately 30 minutes by car from Charlotte. Flights to Concord are scheduled to start November 8 and will be taking off on Mondays and Fridays.
The Lakeland flight, which will be the airline’s seventh Florida destination from Wilmington, will land about a 40-minute drive from Tampa, at the Lakeland Linder International Airport, which is also approximately a 90-minute drive from Orlando. Starting November 7, flights will leave Wilmington for Lakeland on Thursdays and Sundays.
Brochure printing services work with airports in helping entice the public to fly to various destinations.
Going into fall many of the currently available flights will be re-evaluated. Flights to West Palm Beach and Sarasota, Florida that were scrapped are projected to return in mid-November.
The two new destinations will bring the number of routes serviced by Avelo Airlines at Wilmington Airport to nine.
Cancelation charges are $20 per seat with Avelo permitting Flyers to change or cancel their flight up to a quarter hour prior to their scheduled departure time. A complete refund in the payment’s original form will be given to those travelers who cancel at least seven days prior to departure and within 24 hours of purchase.
