A youth training session organized by Hornets Hoops will offer young athletes an opportunity to develop skills through drills and organized gameplay. The program is designed for boys and girls ages 7 through 14 and welcomes participants at all experience levels.
Coaches affiliated with the Hornets Hoops program will guide attendees through warm-ups, individual skill exercises, and competitive games. Organizers say the clinic emphasizes basketball fundamentals such as teamwork, passing, shooting, and court awareness. After initial instruction, participants will compete in structured five-on-five matchups, allowing players to apply techniques learned during practice segments.
Additional activities are planned throughout the session, including skill challenges and contests. Top performers and standout teams will have opportunities to earn prizes or recognition. Each team will be supervised by a trained coach.
Attendees will get a Hornets Hoops T-shirt as part of the registration package. The program also includes two ticket vouchers redeemable for a future home game of the Charlotte Hornets during the 2026–2027 regular season. The clinic runs for approximately two and a half hours and is conducted in person.
Registration for the clinic is listed at $65. Refunds are available up to one day before the event.
Community athletic programs like this often promote registration through flyer printing and other local outreach efforts.
The clinic will be held on May 9th from 9 am to 11:30 am at the Monroe Aquatics and Fitness Center, 2325 Hanover Dr, Monroe, North Carolina.
