Winding Brook Farms is hosting a Mushroom Felting event this November in Monroe.
Winding Brook Farms is a boutique mushroom farm located just outside downtown Monroe. It began as an unexpected venture for its founders. Despite their rural upbringing, the idea of operating a miniature farm was not something they initially envisioned. However, through a series of fortunate events, they now grow several gourmet mushrooms while educating others about fungi, fauna, and flora.
The class will be led by Teresa Higgins, a retired art teacher with over 30 years of experience.
During the class, attendees will receive an introduction to wool felting, learn the basics of felting, and create small felted mushrooms using wool and a felting needle. These felted mushrooms can be used as keychains, ornaments, or decorations.
The venue will offer ample parking for attendees. Though refunds are not available, those unable to attend may apply the cost of their ticket to a future workshop or farm products. The cost to attend is $31:99. Tickets can be purchased through the Eventbrite listing. Attendees should note that they will keep all the materials used in the class.
Brochure printing can be used by organizers to provide participants with take-home information for events such as this one.
The date and time of the event will be Saturday, November 16th from 3 pm to 5 pm at 202 North Stewart St., Monroe, North Carolina.
