Vegan festival to visit Asheville park

VegFest Expos will organize a festival and educational event in October at Pack Square Park in Asheville.

Asheville Veganfest is a program where people can learn about vegan diets while browsing local vendors and participating in family-friendly activities. There will be many businesses at this year’s festival, including Blue Ridge Kettle Korn, Wild Fire Ceramics, and the New Moon Magic Studio. Attendees can also visit booths run by organizations such as the North American Animal Liberation Press Office and the Wild Pines Sanctuary. There will even be authors attending the event, such as Elizabeth Stiles.

The festival will have many activities for children at its designated Kids Zone, including hula hooping and free face painting. Eventgoers can enjoy live performances from bands and DJ entertainers. Attendees will have opportunities to take in educational health talks, take part in group yoga sessions, and watch cooking demonstrations. The educational activities will be held at the A-B Tech Hemlock Building.

The education-focused day of the vegan festival will be held on Saturday, October 4 from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm, and the festival day will be on Sunday, October 5 from noon to 5:00 pm. The fest will be rain or shine. Those who volunteer at the event will get a complimentary shirt and swag bag. Organizations in charge of cultural events like this may add promotional Pens to their swag Bags to expose more people to their brands.
