The Diana Wortham Theatre in Asheville will host a performance in February that benefits Arts for All Kids.
From Blues to Beatles to Bowie is a show where people can support local arts programs while enjoying a live concert by LP & The Vinyl. Attendees will get to sit on-stage for the performance and participate in a silent auction. LP & The Vinyl is a group made up of Leonard Patton and the Danny Green Trio. The band formed in 2015 and has performed at several noteworthy venues, including the Laguna Festival of the Arts and the Vail Jazz Festival.
Arts for All Kids is an organization that helps children in Western North Carolina participate in creative programs offered at the Wortham Center for the Performing Arts. The donations given to the group help fund scholarships that pay for student classes. The courses give students a space where they can develop problem-solving skills, improve their self-confidence, and learn to have empathy for others. Arts for All Kids is funded by personal and corporate donations.
The performance by LP & The Vinyl will take place on Friday, February 6th from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Tickets to the show will cost $125 per person plus ticket fees. Those unable to attend the concert can still support Arts for All Kids by donating online. Theatres that host benefit shows like this can use poster printing services to promote their concerts and causes to the community.
