The Western North Carolina Orchid Society will organize a festival in March at the North Carolina Arboretum in Asheville.
The 25th Asheville Orchid Festival is an event where flower fans can browse orchid vendors and attend lectures led by experienced gardeners. There will be several businesses at the event, including Carter and Holmes Orchids, Marble Branch Farms, and Looking Glass Orchids. People can also browse art vendors at the festival like J Stott Pottery. Guests can explore exhibits that feature hundreds of orchids and watch demonstrations during the fest. Vendors who participate in similar expos can use banner printing to make themed displays for their stalls.
There will be several presentations at the Asheville Orchid Festival across both event dates. The president of the WNC Orchid Society, Graham Ramsey, will lead a program that teaches guests how to re-pot their plants. Attendees can also participate in a lecture by Jim France. Marc Burchette, a member of the Biltmore Conservatory, will hold a tour through the orchid exhibits at the arboretum.
The flower festival will be held on Saturday, March 28th and Sunday, March 29th from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. There will also be a preview night on Friday, March 27th from 4:00 pm to 7:30 pm that is open to the public. Admission to the event is $5 per person, and those 12 and younger can attend for free.
