Punch Bucket Lit will organize a festival in Asheville at The Grey Eagle and The Renaissance Hotel.
The Punch Bucket Literary Festival is a two-day event where guests can hear from several talented authors and attend multiple workshops. The first part of the fest will be a Rapid Reading event at The Grey Eagle with authors like Su Cho, Michael Dowdy, and Austin Segrest. There will be a convention at The Renaissance Hotel with presentations on topics such as how to use experiences like past jobs and motherhood in writing. Attendees will also get to hear live readings from Gregory Ariail and Paul Luikart.
Punch Bucket Lit is an organization that aims to bring together the writing community and improve their skills through helpful workshops led by talented writers and poets. Many events have been organized by the group, including workshops like Poems of Disorientation & Dystopia and Querying the Opening. Rachel M. Hanson is the director of Punch Bucket Lit. She wrote The End of Tennessee and also attended the University of Utah.
The Rapid Reading activity will be held on Friday, September 19th, and the Punch Bucket Literary Festival will take place on Saturday, September 20th. Those interested in only attending the Rapid Reading can pay $15, and passes to the entire festival can be bought for $30 plus fees. Literary organizations that host similar fests to this may use banner printing services to draw attention to their events.
