Online retailer opens new delivery facility in Kalispell

A last-mile delivery facility for e-retail giant Amazon is now open in south Kalispell.

Located on United Drive, the facility spans 28,000 square feet. Another delivery station that spans 35,000 square feet is now also open in Great Falls, both serving to increase economic opportunities across the state and improve delivery speeds.

The manager of economic development policy in Montana for Amazon, Tareq Wafaie, said that this new facility in Kalispell is a milestone for the Flathead Valley and the entire state. Wafaie added that flexible jobs have been created for residents while at the same time bringing more reliable and faster delivery service to those in the area. These jobs are transportation and customer fulfillment jobs that pay between $17 and $28 per hour.

Kalispell has been the focus of a great deal of commercial development in recent years. Businesses including Kalispell Topyota, Costco, and Stockman’s Bank have relocated and expanded in the city. Last year, $250m revenue from building permits was received by the city, which is an increase of 50% over the previous year.

Other major projects include the housing developments of Eagle Valley Ranch apartments and Stillwater Village and the Stillwater Bend development at the Rose Crossing intersection on the west side of US Highway 93.

News about such new developments and facilities can be spread throughout a city with flyer printing.
