Tractor Supply Co., a national retail chain, will be opening a store in Kalispell in what was once the Kmart building.
The store will have 30,000 square feet of retail space including indoor and outdoor spaces. It will offer a wide selection of products including supplies for horses, power tools, mowers, grills, workwear, and boots, among others. There will also be a garden center that will include an assortment of perennials and annuals, decorative plants and shrubs, herbs and vegetables, and fruit trees. A pet wash will also be part of the store where pet owners can use special shampoos, professional dryers, grooming tables, and elevated wash bays for washing their pets.
The store is planning to hire 15 people with at least half of those in full-time positions. Local Print shops can assist in printing Flyers and mailers to inform residents and those in neighboring communities about such employment opportunities.
Connie McCubbins, director of the Evergreen Chambe of Commerce, expressed her excitement about welcoming Tractor Supply to Kalispell. She said the Chamber is looking forward to the new shopping opportunity as well as the creation of new jobs. She added that its location on the corner of Highway 35 and Highway 2 will help to spruce up this busy intersection.
The store is expected to hold a grand opening celebration from Thursday September 21 through Sunday September 24.
