Kalispell to host historic walking tours

The Northwest Montana History Museum on Second Avenue East in Kalispell is hosting walking tours of downtown Kalispell, which are set to begin next week.

These high-quality and well-researched walking tours will show participants how Kalispell evolved into the transportation, economic, and cultural hub of the unique Flathead Valley of northwest Montana. This tour lasts for two hours and covers about one mile of the downtown area. There are over two dozen stops along the tour that cover over 30 buildings that tell the story of the people and history of Kalispell.

Attendees will learn about architectural history and modern reuse, as well as about the early settlers and prominent citizens. Other information will include where to spot ghost Signs. Such unique and special events can be promoted throughout a community to residents and visitors with poster printing.

The tour is ADA compliant and recommended for those 10 years of age and older. The price of tickets for the walking tour is $20 for adults; $18 for students, seniors, and veterans; $15 for those between the ages of 10 and 17; and $10 children between the ages of four and nine. Admission to the museum is included in the price of the ticket.

Tours take place on most Mondays from May 26 to September 29, beginning at 10:00 am.
