Kalispell symphony kicks off concert season

The 43rd concert season of the Glacier Symphony, based in Kalispell, will kick off next month.

The title of the of the first concert of the season is “Emperor & Titan: Mahler 1.” It will feature two popular and powerful works from the repertoire of Mahler and Beethoven and will bridge the romantic and classical with the 20th century. The soloist for this concert is Alon Goldstein, a favorite of the Glacier audience, playing the final and most dramatic concerto of Beethoven. The “Hymn for Everyone” composed by Jesse Montgomery in 2021 will also be performed.

This concert will be at the Wacholz College Center at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday October 18, and at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday October 19.

The next concert this fall will be “The Poetry of Meaning: Glacier Chorale in Concert.” This is an annual performance where Dr. Micah Hunter leads the chorale in a concert that explores the philosophical query of whether music can truly convey meaning. It will consist of a carefully curated selection of choral pieces that will show how meaning is linked with the poetic spirit. This promises to be an evening highlighting the artistry of the chorale and to be a very rewarding experience.

This concert will also be at the Wacholz College Center at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday November 8.

Poster printing can be used to promote such concerts throughout a region and surrounding communities.
