The upcoming Burn the Point Classic Car Weekend in Billings has given back to the community for more than two decades.
Presented by the Chase Hawks Memorial Association (CHMA), the annual Labor Day event is held in support of the Community Crisis Fund.
Entry fees, gate receipts, merchandise sales and sponsorship contributions all go towards the fund which assists county residents who are challenged by sudden emergencies.
Classic automobiles from the 1950s and 60s will highlight the show. It will start with a parade of 500 vehicles in a nostalgic downtown location where young people traditionally would cruise the streets in their cars as they listened to the top music hits on the radio. The first evening will culminate with a dance party in the streets.
The following day, an array of at least 300 vintage and custom-built vehicles will be on display at Henry’s garage. Spectators can vote for the People’s Choice Award, just one of over 100 trophies that will be handed out. One special classic car will be selected to go on to compete in a show in Reno in 2027.
Car enthusiasts who enter shows such as this often have Print shops create materials that describe and promote their classic vehicles.
