Wine bar to come to St. Ann area

The Yale Bar, a new wine bar, will be opening in Richmond Heights in the spring of next year.

Residents of nearby St. Ann who are lovers of wine might be interested in this new establishment, which is coming to the neighborhood courtesy of Jon Parker of The Oakland Room event space and Parker's Table.

The Yale Bar will have space for 30 guests. Parker said that this will be separate from his adjacent venues and is a space in which he has been interested since he purchased the building. It had been a lawyer’s office for 10 years but once it was vacated, Parker decided to work on his vision for the space.

The Yale Bar will offer wine and beer only, as well as a few small dishes of light fare to complement their choice of beverage. Parker said that the appeal of this new establishment is that people will be able to try wines by the glass and explore new options that can be later enjoyed at Parker’s Table. Local Print shops can assist in promoting such planned establishments with printed materials featuring beverage and food offerings.

Parker envisions the establishment as a place where people can enjoy a glass of wine or beer and perhaps an appetizer, then move on to their dinner or other plans for entertainment. The Wine Bar will be on Oakland Avenue.
