Known as the best watch party experience of the Kentucky Derby outside of Louisville, the Gateway City Derby will be held at the Chase Park Plaza Hotel in St. Louis next weekend.
Residents of St. Ann will not want to miss this unique experience. The party will be hosted by the chapter of Delta Epsilon Lambda of East St. Louis, Illinois and the Epsilon Lambda Chapter of St. Louis partnering with Maker’s Mark Bourbon as the signature sponsor. Fans of the Kentucky Derby are invited to attend and wear their finest outfits for the Derby so they can enjoy the elegance and the pageantry of the event.
A Ladies Hat Parade will be presented by Harvey Dailey, attorneys at law. Leading DJs in the area will also be playing music. Such events are often promoted throughout the region with banner printing.
Proceeds will benefit the Metro East St. Louis Community Initiative and the Epsilon Lambda Charitable Foundation. The latter provides education, scholarships, and mentoring to youth while the former offers economic and professional development to strengthen those in the community.
General admission tickets of $75 each are still available. The price includes complimentary hors d’oeuvres, a mint julip cocktail, and reduced pricing at the garage. The party will take place on Saturday, May 7 from 3:00 to 5:00 pm.
