St. Louis to host holiday and winter festival

Celebration of the holiday season is getting underway in downtown St. Louis, and the many festivities and activities offered are sure to appear to residents of St. Ann.

The celebrations are part of Winterfest, which is being held for the fourth consecutive year, and is hosted by the St. Louis Blues and the Gateway Arch Foundation. Printing services are most likely in demand at this time of year to help promote such special events.

The ice rink is free to those who bring their own skates, although rental of skates is also available. The Blues are sponsoring skate rentals for children.

There will be a heated igloo village in Kiener Plaza with the ability to rent an igloo for $250 for two hours. The rental price includes free parking at Ballpark Village, up to six skate rentals, comfortable seating with blankets, and table service from the Sugarfire Winterfest Café, with a credit of $50 for food and drink at their restaurant. The village is new to the festivities this year and will be available on Fridays and Saturdays through January 25.

There will also be lights at the Salvation Army Tree of Lights and a Winter Market on Saturdays and Sundays.

The Christmas in St. Louis Foundation also awards a grant to each local charity this time of year to highlight its missions and work in the city.
