St. Ann has its day with annual festival
St. Ann residents are looking forward to the upcoming 2016 St. Ann Day Parade and Festival.
The daytime event combines a fun procession with games, rides, and other entertainment in a celebration of the city and everything its people love about it.
The parade will feature prominent members of the city government, as well as local police and fire groups, along with the schools and nearby charitable organizations. The route will leave from Tiemeyer Park and wrap through the city to wind up at St. Ann Park. Once the entire procession has reached the park, the festival will begin.
Flyers are billing the festival as an afternoon full of family fun. Those visitors with an appetite can get a bite at the various food and drink booths, while adult attendees can also purchase concessions from the wine and beer cart. For younger guests, the festival will have inflatables like bounce houses and obstacle courses, as well as face painters and stilt walkers. Additionally, the festivities will include hayrides and pony rides in the park and the surrounding area. Music and entertainment will also be located on the main stage, not to mention the park area where families can relax, toss a ball, or fly a kite.
The 2016 St. Ann Day Parade and Festival will take place this Sunday, September 25 from 12:00 to 5:00 pm at St. Ann Park, located at 4101 N. Ashby Rd. Admission to the event is free to the public. Anyone interested in more information should contact the city directly.
