Sportswear company opens new space in St. Ann area

Rawlings Sporting Goods Company, Inc. has moved its corporate headquarters to Westport Plaza in Maryland Heights.

The company, which is the official equipment provider for Major League Baseball and created the Rawlings Gold Glove Award, has created for its headquarters a hybrid retail store and museum. This may be of interest to residents in nearby St. Ann. The Rawlings Gold Glove Awards are given each year to the best fielders in Major League Baseball.

The retail space will have a full assortment of its lines for softball and baseball products on display and available for purchase, as well as a wide range of options that are customizable across multiple product lines. Companies like this often use flyer printing to offer more details on products for sale and those that can be personally designed.

Historic artifacts that have played a major role in the success of the company and its growth throughout the years will be highlighted. There will also be the glove vault, which will showcase the company’s strength in the category of gloves with Rawlings Gold Glove Awards on display and a place where visitors can design gloves and test bats in a high-tech batting cage.

Chief Marketing Officer for Rawlings, Mike Thompson, said that as many people in the area are not aware of the company, it was decided to build a statement and bring the brand to life in the area.
