The St. Louis Renaissance Festival is now open in Wentzville. Residents of nearby St. Ann may be interested in this cheerful fall event.
The festival is brimming with medieval entertainment and activities that include such daily events as a Kings Happy Hour; Fairy Tale Tea Party, which offers snacks, crafts, and a photo opportunity; Renaissance Romance, which provides romantic refreshments for two and a view of the joust; and a Hawk Walk, where attendees can discover the nature of falconry through an intimate walk with birds of prey on the grounds of the festival before it opens to the public.
Food for purchase at the festival will include turkey legs, funnel and unicorn cakes, fried Oreos, fish and chips, barbecue, meat on a stick, and treats from The Pickle Cart. The festival features an Artisan Marketplace with handmade jewelry, metalsmith products, pottery and sculpture, and woodwork, among others. Vendors at such festivals often provide Brochures and Business Cards created by local Print shops to provide more information about their products and services.
The fairgrounds will also host a variety of stage acts that will include Ermagerd the Bard, Gateway Storytellers, Chuvani Bellydance and Sheherazade Drums, and Hero of Mime. The Greenleaf Singers, 3 Pints Gone, Bella the Brad, and Pirates Inc. will be among the musical acts. There will also be street acts for enjoyment as patrons walk the grounds of the fair.
