Park in St. Ann area undergoes major updates

Millennium Park in Creve Coeur is now open after significant renovations over the past eight months. This updated park may be of benefit to the residents of nearby St. Ann.

The cost of the renovations was $2.5 million. This covered building a new playground that enables children of all abilities to participate, adding a bandstand for concerts and events, and updating the splash pad to be 2.5 times larger than the previous one. A project manager with the City of Creve Coeur, Tom Delia, said the new splash pad has a Gecko named Ralph. He said that the splash pad also has a rainbow and shooting water misters, flowers, and a feature in the center that is like a flower.

News about such updated parks and their amenities is often made known throughout a city with flyer printing.

Delia said that this work was made possible by the citizens of the city. He said that they offered a sales tax for funding the parks and storm water and that this funding enabled the work to be done. He added that he had a personal stake in the project and expressed his excitement and happiness that he was able to provide the management and some of the services that this project required.

Residents of the city have also expressed their thanks for the new amenities and expressed their gratitude to the city for the renovations.
