Couples in St. Charles County will have an opportunity to have a romantic evening outdoors thanks to the St. Charles County Parks and Recreation Department. Residents of St. Ann may want to take advantage of this special evening.
Called “Date Night in the Park,” the evening features two hours of a roaring fire, food, fun, and s’mores. For the price of $2.00 per couple, the event includes a candlelit picnic table for two, crafts, music, and games. Couples need to bring a flashlight, their own drinks and dinner, and blankets. A scenic walk through Broemmelsiek Park to watch the sunset follows dinner among its 494 acres of lakes, trails, and ponds. The park also has an Astronomy Viewing Area at which members of the Astronomical Society of Eastern Missouri (ASEM) offer Friday evening viewings to the public once the sun sets.
Those interested in this special evening can call The St. Charles County Parks and Recreation Department or register online. This program is for those 18 years of age and older. The department is considering adding more dates as this event is in high demand. Poster printing is often used to inform the community of the additional dates for such special events.
The next date night will be Friday, April 9 at the park on Highway DD in Defiance.
