The “Teddy Bear Christmas Land” holiday lights are currently on display in Crestwood and have received national recognition.

Residents of St. Ann will no doubt want see this display, which was entered to win a trophy for the best lights in the country.

The lights of Susan and Jay Trevisano and their son, Christopher, of Laurel Hill Drive, focus on over 100 teddy bears, reminiscent of a more classic era of light displays in windows in department stores in downtown St. Louis, which Jay used to visit as a child. Over 100,000 LED lights cover the property which is twice the number of a few years ago with new displays that include more sleds, trees, polar bears, and Santa Clauses.

The display of teddy bears was started 30 years ago. Many will have seen the lights this year it they make their way to the holiday drive-thru lights at Grant’s Farm, which is opened until Thursday, December 31. Poster printing is often used to promote such displays and others throughout the area.

In addition to the lights, the family has raised money for many charitable organizations in the past 17 years, raising more than $87,000 for St. Patrick Center, which offers services for the homeless. The family hopes that people will drive by this year and be inspired to create their own special displays in the years to come.
