The premiere of “Hockey Journey,” the first feature film by Shutout Productions of St. Louis, will be shown next month in St. Louis. Residents of St. Ann will not want to miss this special viewing.
Print shops are often called upon to create many kinds of materials to help promote such special films throughout an area.
This is a full-length film that features footage around British Columbia and hockey interviews. It is the story of a fictional hockey player who was a goalie in the Beer Hockey League (BHL) and his mission to join the NHL. The focus of the film is Kane’s journey, the BHL, and his once-in-a-lifetime trip to Vancouver, British Columbia.
Dave Delaney and Keith Van Gels own and operate Shutout Productions. Postproduction of the film was made possible by a Kickstarter campaign that raised $16,000 within one month. The final scenes of the film were shot in St. Louis. The film’s original score was written and performed by Matt Lashoff, a resident of St. Louis and former NHL hockey player.
The viewing will be on Monday, January 27 from 7:00 to 9:00 pm at the Skip Viragh Center for the Arts at Chaminade College Preparatory School, with doors opening at 6:30 pm. Beer, soft drinks, and snacks will be free and the price to reserve tickets is $10.
