The UP Companies (UPCO) will be holding a Career Expo next month in St. Louis to recruit more employees and ensure they have successful careers.
Residents of St. Ann looking for work or a new job might consider attending this expo and may eventually be on the market for business card printing services.
There will be representatives from the several business units of the company, including Hustle UP general laborers, Square UP builders, and Power UP electrical contractors, as well as a representative from the STL Construction Career Center. This center is part of the Education Initiative of the Associated General Contractors of Missouri (AGCMO) and is for those who may have a general interest in the industry but are uncertain of their career path.
Attending the Career Expo will be Michael Kennedy, Jr., the owner of UPCO; and Howard “Chingy” Bailey, Jr., a hip-hop artist. Chingy was responsible for creating the song and music video, “Old Construction Road,” which encourages young people to consider careers in construction. Chingy sang a key verse in the video and Kennedy performed several verses, while Square UP employee Cornelius Blanks sang the hook and chorus.
The UPCO Career Expo will be held at the company’s headquarters in St. Louis on Thursday, March 12 from 4:00 to 6:00 pm. Attendees are encouraged to bring their resumés.
