The St. Louis Cardinals recently announced career opportunities on its social media channels, offering opportunities to people in nearby St. Ann.
At this time, the team hopes to hire professionals in sales and marketing services, as well as baseball operations. Available positions include an authentics associate, a direct sales representative, and a ticket development supervisor, as well as a ticket sales intern for the summer.
The direct sales representative is an entry-level position. The rep’s job will be to sell season ticket plans, all-inclusive tickets, and group tickets. Providing assistance to current and possible future customers will be expected too, in addition to other sales-related responsibility. The position requires a college degree and sports industry experience is preferred.
The supervisor of ticket development will be in charge of strategic sales implementation. Call monitoring, call volume reporting, and reinforcing training methods are among the other responsibilities. A college degree in sports management, marketing, business, or a similar field is required, as well as at least two years of sales or sports industry experience. Four or more years of such experience are preferred.
Additional job descriptions, including educational requirements and prior career experience, are detailed on BaseballJobs.com, the official website for MLB team jobs.
While most jobs are convenient to Greater St. Louis—such as Affton, St. Ann, and Winchester—a new baseball operations fellowship will be based in Jupiter, Florida, which is part of Greater Miami.
