Aerospace manufacturing company to expand in St. Louis area
R&S Machining Inc. is planning to expand its two centers for manufacturing in St. Louis County.
The investment will go towards purchasing a new plant and its equipment on Ferry Road while also expanding and upgrading its current location on Baumgartner Road, which is 20,000 square feet in area.
With an investment of $13.5m, this expansion is expected to retain 48 existing jobs and create 60 new full-time permanent positions. Residents of St. Ann may be interested in applying for these open positions, some of which may require stationery and business card printing services.
A consultant to R&S Machining, Doug Rasmussen, said that the company started in the St. Louis area and is excited about remaining in the area and expanding. The support received from the St. Louis (STL) Economic Development Partnership and several other partners enabled the company to make its decision to expand in the local area, Rasmussen added.
