Juniors and seniors who are currently enrolled in high school in Olivette are encouraged to apply for a program sponsored by the Bank of America.
This marks the 12th year that the bank’s Student Leaders program has been offered in the St. Louis area.
The program teams young, potential leaders with jobs that help give them the resources and tools they need to advance in their chosen careers. Through this program, the bank recognizes high school seniors and juniors who have gone beyond the classroom, and are actively serving residents of their communities, and people elsewhere.
Those who are accepted into the Student Leaders program receive paid internships for the summer, with local nonprofits such as the Boys and Girls Clubs of America, and Habitat for Humanity. They also are able to participate in a Student Leadership Summit, which takes place in Washington, D.C., and lasts for a full week.
Bank of America is now accepting applications for the 2016 program. The application period lasts through January 29. Information about the program, as well as videos of the experiences students had during this past year, and the application form, is available on the bank’s website.
Olivette school officials might want to consider working with a flyer printing company on a mailer for residents, describing this opportunity.
