Olivette makes a run for it
The Creve Coeur-Olivette Chamber of Commerce will host a 5K run this November for its residents.
The event takes place on Thanksgiving. The race has varying terrain and offers participants a picturesque view as they run along. There will also be space for pet-parents and strollers who wish to walk at a slower pace. The event is chip-timed, and all materials will be provided by the organizers. There will be food, music and refreshments for attendees to enjoy when the race ends. Patrons may also use this event as an opportunity to give back. All proceeds go to a local food charity, the Harvey Kornblum Jewish Food Pantry.
The Food Pantry began in 1991, serving only a small sector of people. Since then, it has expanded to become the largest food charity organization in the area, serving over 15,000 families across the region. Through this event, the Chamber of Commerce has raised funds totaling over $58,000 and aims to continue this work through this year’s staging.
Those who wish to participate may register by visiting the event’s website. All details on participation fees will be available during the signup process. Poster printing can offer useful alternatives for advertising sponsors at events like this.
The race takes place on Thursday, November 24, beginning at Stacy Park, located at 9750 Old Bonhomme Road, Olivette. It begins at 8:00 am and ends at 9:00 pm.
