Columbia offers lineworkers training

Lineworkers maintain, repair and install electrical and other cabling, and a Columbia activity will give those interested in a career in the field an opportunity to hit the ground running.

Registration for the Electrical Lineworker Pre-Apprentice Training session in the city will be open until May 21, and it will be on offer at 2200 Maguire Boulevard. Anyone over the age of 18 can sign up at no cost, and a travel allowance may be available for the event, which runs for around a week and a half.

Attendees will be engaging in hands-on learning and will need to supply their own boots. Topics such as digger derricks, using bucket trucks, and the basics of climbing wooden utility poles will all be covered.

An application form has been created for interested people to fill in. The organizers have expressed their appreciation for the support of the Missouri Department of Economic Development.

Many sectors are in a state of flux, and taking part in training workshops can provide a competitive edge in the labor market. Manuals, handouts, and certificates of competition for an activity can all be sourced by Stationery printers that provided in-house Graphic Design Services.

This free opportunity for Columbia residents to get the inside scoop on a career as an electrical lineworker is scheduled from June 2 to 13. People can sign up here.
