St. Paul’s annual Thanksgiving run will be marking a decade of fun and fitness this November, as Turkey Trot St. Paul holds its 10th edition.
The run will feature both 6k and 10k competitions, with the route running along the Mississippi River and including aid stations, restrooms, and mile markers. There will be awards for the first three finishers in over a dozen different age groups, running from under 19 to over 80. All participants will receive a finisher’s medal, race bib, and a commemorative T-shirt available in unisex and women’s sizes. Charity races often provide special Promotional Products or garments such as this to help commemorate the occasion and raise awareness of future editions.
The Trot is a fundraiser for the Open Door Food Shelf, a local charitable organization. The race estimates that it provides over 10,000 meals a year for those in need. Participants are challenged to raise money from friends and family, and can join fundraising teams, with custom socks as prizes for the most generous, fastest, and largest teams. There will also be on-site donations of non-perishable food items. The race also features a virtual option at a time and place of the runner’s choosing, and offers a training plan on its website to help build up the stamina to run the full distance.
The 2024 Turkey Trot St. Paul will take place on the morning of Thursday, November 28 along Shephard Road.
