Ruff Start Rescue seeks volunteers for one day event

Volunteers are being sought by Ruff Start Rescue for the 2024 Day of Caring in Princeton.

A 501c3, Ruff Start Rescue is heavily dependent on volunteers to complete their mission of saving animals. This September 16 they are looking for 6 to 10 people to come out and help them perform some long overdue, yet routine maintenance projects at their office. The work will involve cleaning, staining, and simple landscaping. Participants should be able to stand, lift paint cans and bend comfortably and remain outside for 3-4 hours in fall weather.

Included in the projects to be tackled will be cleaning out the rescue’s outdoor cat condos, staining the wooden perimeter fencing, cat condo and picnic tables and sprucing up the landscaping. Everything needed to complete these and other miscellaneous project will be provided.

Many nonprofits turn to professional poster printing services to help them spread the word about fundraising events as well as other activities they hold to support their mission.

Volunteers will gather in the rescue’s parking lot and will begin with a tour of the facility at which time volunteers can learn more about how Ruff Start Rescue operates and meet some of the cats. Then the work of making the facility more presentable will begin.
