Athletes can welcome fall with a scenic, chip-timed run through rural Princeton.
The PrinceTEN Miler is a challenging course that will make two loops through local trails, charming neighborhoods, and areas in Pioneer Park. There is also an option to compete in a one-loop, five-mile course. Participants are urged to wear costumes for the event. Finally, dogs and strollers are not permitted on this course.
After the race, participants will be treated to refreshments including KIND bars. Awards will be distributed to the top three participants in every age group.
Registration costs $35 for both the 10-mile and 5-mile races, and can be completed online or through the mail. Those who registered prior to September 15 were guaranteed a long-sleeved, but these are now in limited supply.
Proceeds from the event will go to help the Princeton Pantry, a food bank that serves the local area. Participants are also asked to donate a non-perishable food item.
A variety of companies are sponsoring the event. Printing companies have no doubt been busy creating promotional materials, including sponsors’ names and logos.
The race kicks off at 9:00 am on October 17 at the Princeton Civic Center, located on 503 North 9th Street. Race day registration and bib pickup will take place from 7:00 am until 8:50 am. The course closes at noon.
