Pursuit of world record at Princeton Rum River Festival

This year’s Rum River Festival will see the city of Princeton seeking to break the world record for the most ‘Duck, Duck, Gray Duck’ participants.

An estimated 2,200 people participating are being sought to set a new world’s record; however, organizers are optimistically aiming for a crowd of 5,000 to the Princeton High School Track where the game will be played.

Actually, two records could very well fall this June in Princeton. The current record for ‘Duck, Duck, Gray Duck’, the correct version of the game had a participation rate of 108 people and took place in 2019 at Shakopee. However, the more commonly played ‘Duck, Duck, Goose’ version's record was set in Rogersville, Missouri with 2,135 participants on October 7, 2011, and lasted for nearly 16 minutes.

Among the items a local printing services can provide are customized attire promoting an event. T-Shirts commemorating this event can be purchased in advance for $10 and picked up at the event. Purchased on that day, but prior to the game, shirts will cost $25 while they last and after the event any leftover shirts will be $30. An upcharge of $2 will be applied to shirts 2XL or larger.

‘Quack the Record’, as the event is being called, will take place on June 7th as part of the Rum River Festival. For those who prefer spectating rather than participating, bleacher seating will be available.
