Princeton supports 2016 Small Business Saturday event

Small Business Saturday is a yearly event created in 2010 by American Express to encourage residents to shop locally for their holiday gifts, and Princeton has proudly announced it will participate again this year.

The Princeton Chamber of Commerce is working with local businesses to gear up for this year’s event to showcase businesses. Owners are likely preparing by working with a nearby Print company to obtain Brochures, Flyers and Banners to be ready for the shoppers that will visit their stores. This could be a good time for businesses to work on Promotional Products as well to let residents know of the many products and services they offer.

Businesses participating in the event are working closely with the Chamber of Commerce to ensure fun for everyone who attends. Along with specials and discounts for shoppers, the daylong event will include entertainment in the form of pictures with Santa and sleigh rides. There will also be holiday displays set up at the Historic Depot.

Guests are reminded to dress for cold weather as the event will flow into the evening, which will include a night parade, Christmas lights, hot cocoa, and other treats.

Small Business Saturday events will be held at Downtown Princeton, Rum River Drive on Saturday, November 26 from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm. Residents can visit the Princeton Chamber of Commerce website closer to the event for more details and a list of participating businesses.
