Mille Lacs County Fair opens mid-August

This year’s Mille Lacs County Fair will, as always, bring numerous people to Princeton, and some details have been released about matters those attending the fair may want to know ahead of time.

The “Wednesday Afternoon Fair Preview” this year takes place on August 10 starting at noon. Admission is $3, although guests should be advised not all exhibits will be available or all buildings open. Making Wednesday even more of a bargain, is the Lawn and Garden Tractor Pull that starts at 6:00 pm.

There are multiple instances at fairs and festivals for the products supplied by Print shops.

The daily entrance fee for the rest of the fair is $5.00. For those who wish to attend multiple days, a $10.00 wristband can be purchased that will provide admission for all 5 days of the fair. Those ages 6 and under can enter for free. Veterans and active military, with military ID, may attend the fair for free. Parking is available onsite and is free.

Grandstand events by day include a Tractor and Truck Pull on Thursday, August 11 beginning at 6:00 pm; on Friday, August 12 a series of car races will start at 7:00 pm; and a Demolition Derby is on Saturday, August 13 starting at 7:30 pm.

Guests should also note that no pets are allowed on the fairgrounds, and the entrance to the grandstand requires an armband - either single or multiday.
