A parade at the end of November will herald the start of Light Up Princeton at the Mille Lacs County Fairgrounds.
Lineup up for the parade starts at 5:00 pm on Saturday, November 30, with the parade itself starting at 5:30 pm. The parade route starts on 2nd Street at Princeton City Hall and continues to 3rd Street and from there on to the Mille Lacs County Fairgrounds. At the fairgrounds, where the drive-through Light up Princeton exhibits are on display, Santa Claus will throw the switch at 6:00 pm to turn on the lights and start the event. Photos with Santa will be available between 6:00 pm and 7:00 pm.
Banner printing services are vital for marketing large community events.
This is a free event, although volunteers will be on hand to collect donations of money and non-perishable items.
The Princeton Area Chamber of Congress is looking for volunteers for the event, including people to string the lights and a handful of servers to provide hot chocolate to those in cars. Half of the profits will go to the volunteers’ nonprofit of choice, with Light Up Princeton 2025 and the Princeton Pantry also receiving a share.
Light up Princeton is a strictly drive-through event and takes place 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm from November 30 to December 22 on Thursdays through Sundays, as well as on Christmas Eve.
