New Brighton Parks and Recreation will be conducting two free gnome searches over the next few weeks.
This will be an opportunity for New Brighton to experience a new park and a newly renovated trail system.
The first one will be the annual Gnomesgiving Gnome Search. Participants are invited to find 15 gnomes in the newly rebuilt Totem Pole Park. Gnomes can be found in the park's ballfield, courts, playground and pavilion. To be entered in the drawing, pictures taken with one of the gnomes may be posted on Facebook, and one lucky winner will receive a prize.
Gnomesgiving Gnome Search will be from Wednesday, November 20th to Wednesday, December 4th from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm at Totem Pole Park, 1011 Foss Road.
The Winter Gnome Search will be along the trails in Hansen Park's east side. All 15 gnomes can be spotted from the trails. Again, to enter the drawing for a prize, interested parties may take selfies with any of the gnomes and post them on Facebook.
Winners of fun events such as these often take pictures of themselves with their prizes and take the photos to local Print shops to be added to seasonal family newsletters.
Winter Gnome Search will run Thursday, December 19th through Thursday, January 2, 2025, from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm at Hansen Park, 1555 5th Street NW.
