New Brighton Parks and Recreation will hold its Discovery Days, Summer Concert Series and Safety Fair in June.
Discovery Days will be a free event featuring demonstrations, activities and experiences geared to all ages. The first June Discovery Days will take place from 10:00 am to noon, June 9th at Lions Park, Old Highway 8 NW and Highway 96 W.
The Summer Concert Series will continue with Sawyer's Dream, a group singing Americana, Soul, Rock and Pop in 4-part harmony, on June 11th from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Veterans' Park. Everyone is invited to bring blankets, lawn chairs, picnics, and dancing shoes and enjoy an evening of free live music, and community comradery.

New Brighton's first annual Safety Fair will be paired with Park Discovery Days on Tuesday June 16th. Guests will get informed about preparedness and safety through presentations, demonstrations, meet local safety professionals, and a Touch a Truck experience will have public works and emergency vehicles available for everyone to explore.
The Safety Fair and Discovery Day will be at the New Brighton Community Center, 400 10th Street NW from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
Park Discovery Days will also take place in Silver Oaks Park, June 23rd from 10:00 am to noon. Silver Oaks Park is located at 340 Oakwood Drive.
