Sports enthusiasts here in New Brighton may be interested in attending the Northwest Sportshow coming to the area in early March.
This four-day sport extravaganza will feature marine gear, pontoons, boats, fishing technology, tackle and equipment, hunting outfitters, and fishing gear. Campers and recreational vehicles will be on display in the 60,000 square foot RV section.
Exhibitors at events like this usually get some brochure printing and Business Cards updated at local Print shops beforehand.
Kids may enjoy catching and releasing fish at the trout pond, and a 5,000-gallon fishing tank will offer casting techniques. All expo attendees can take the Fishing 101 course, which covers basic fishing skills, and drop in on sessions taught by local fishing experts. Topics covered will include panfish patterns, trigging muskies to bite, catching bass using spinning poles, and walleye baits.
Hunting and fishing experts will be giving seminars on turkey hunting calls, river techniques for walleyes, musky fishing, mental fishing, Alaskan hunting and fishing, and Minnesota bass fishing. Ducks Unlimited will have raffles, auctions and wooden ducks for decoy painting. Admission at the door will be $15 and $13 online. Children 12 years old and younger will get in for free.
The 2026 Northwest Sportshow will take place March 5 through 8 at the Minneapolis Convention Center, 1301 2nd Avenue.
