Golf players here in New Brighton have a pair of charity golf tournament options around the area coming in August.
The 2023 Giesy Memorial Golf Tournament will see four-person teams compete in an 18-hole scramble. Individual registration will be $125 and includes golf, cart, and lunch. People not golfing may buy meal tickets for $40. Hole sponsorships are available for $100, $250, and $500.
A silent auction and raffle will take place during lunch. Businesses that donate to fundraising auctions often have their Logo Design on the items. Proceeds will go to the Michael Giesler Scholarship Fund.
The 2023 Giesy Memorial Golf Tournament will take place Friday, August 11 from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm at Brookview Golf Course, 316 Brookview Parkway, Golden Valley.
The following day, the first annual John Delaney Classic will kick off with a shotgun start at 1:00 pm. This will be a four-person scramble, and the $80 registration fee will include 18 holes of golf, cart, a burger, one ticket for a free drink, and field games. Groups of two or four may sign up together. There will be prizes for winners in the field games.
Limited to 120 golfers, this tournament will take place Saturday, August 12 beginning at noon at the Oneka Ridge Golf Course, 5610 120 Street North in White Bear Lake.
