Many New Brighton folks will be enjoying the shift in seasons as they attend an outdoor farmers’ market, Tails on the Trails, and the annual Pumpkin Walk.
The New Brighton Farmers’ Market will take place every Wednesday in September from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm, and again on October 1 and 8 from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm at the New Brighton Community Center parking lot, 400 10th Street NW. Vendors will be selling produce such as flowers, berries, bread, cookies, beef, pork, cheese, and eggs.
October will begin with the annual Tails on the Trails. All well-behaved dogs are invited to bring their humans to this New Brighton Parks and Recreation's special dog event. The Freedom Park trails will be open for walks, non-profits and company vendor booths will be selling dog-related items, and there will be dog-related demonstrations.
Tails on the Trails will take place Sunday, October 5 from noon to 2:30 pm at Freedom Park, 2121 14th Street NW. Admission will be free.
Later in October, guests at the 6th annual Pumpkin Walk may navigate a path lined with glowing pumpkins. Little ones can gather goodies at a Trunk or Treat, and everyone may take part in a live DJ glow dance. Attendees are encouraged to don costumes.
This free event will take place from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Friday, October 24 at Veterans Park, 803 Old Highway 8.
Stationery printers often use pictures taken at events such as these for their fall card collections.
