During October, fall events here in New Brighton will include a Tails on the Trails dog walk, a Pumpkin Walk Family Carving Party and our annual Pumpkin Walk.
New Brighton Parks and Recreation will be presenting its annual Tails of the Trails when pooches and their owners walk the Hansen Park trails. Non-profits and local dog-related businesses will have booths onsite, and there will be dog-related demonstrations. Leashed pups may socialize with other pups.
Tails on the Trails will take place Sunday, October 13th from noon to 2:30 pm in Hansen Park, 1555 5th Street NW. Admission will be free.
The New Brighton Community Center will have a Pumpkin Walk Family Carving Party. Pumpkins, stencils and carving tools will be provided. A Master Pumpkin Carver will be on hand to offer tricks and tips, and festivities will also include snacks, prizes and pizzas.
Registration is $10 per pumpkin.
The Pumpkin Walk Family Carving Party will be October 24th from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm in Room 100ABCD, 400 10th St. NW.
Everyone is invited to dress in Halloween costumes and walk the Pumpkin Walk which will be lined with glowing jack-o-lanterns. The venue will also feature trunk-or- treat, a kids' DJ and glow dance.

The free Pumpkin Walk will take place Friday, October 25th from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Veterans Park, 803 Old Highway 8.
